The season two premiere for AMC’s The Walking Dead was a huge hit in the ratings and with socially engaged viewers. In the 18-49 demographic, which is what advertisers use to set ad rates, The Walking Dead set a record as the most-watched basic cable drama. More than 4.8 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic and 7.3 million total viewers tuned in to the 90 minute premiere. Beyond just being a hit in the ratings, the show also scored big points in social TV analytics.
